The Golden Cucumber

 

           Once upon a time, There lived a married couple who hadn't child. One day They went to the cave. They prayed to the monster called Buto Ijo. Then Buto Ijo gave The couple some cucumber seeds. After that Buto Ijo told to The couple if the child in the cucumber is girl the couple must give the child to Buto Ijo.

            Day by day they took care the plant.,finally the plant ripe  then they picked it. Carefully they cut of the cucumber and how surprised were they when found a beautiful baby inside. They were so happy. They named the baby Timun Mas. 

           One day, when the pretty girl sat on the stone and brushed her hair, the giant came to her home and talked to her parents. "Give me your child!!" said Buto Ijo very loudly and Timun Mas'es father gave a small bag to Timun Mas, the small bag had some magic stuff there were bamboo needles,salt, cucumber seed, shrimp paste. Her father told her that it could help her from the giant. He ordered Timun Mas to run away. 

           The giant was chasing Timun Mas and he was getting closer and closer. Timun Mas then took a hardful of cucumber seeds and spread the seeds of cucumber. In seconds they turned into many vines of cucumber. But Buto Ijo ate it.When Buta Ijo was busy eating cucumber Timun Emas could run away.

            Buto Ijo started run again then Timun Mas threw her bamboo needles. Soon they turned into bamboo trees. Buto Ijo found it hard to pass. It took him some time to break the bamboos. 

             Buto Ijo chased Timun Mas again. When he almost catch her again and again Timun Emas threw her salt. This time it turned into a lake. Buta Ijo was busy to save himself so Timun Emas ran way. But Buta Ijo could overcome it and continued chasing her.

             Finally she opened the last weapon, and threw the fish paste. The fish paste made a very big, wide, and deep mud pond. The angry giant sank down in the mud. Finally the girl saved from the giant and walked home.
